Postdoctoral Fellowships in Bioinformatics, Neurogenetics, and Molecular Neurosciences
The Dubal Laboratory of Neuroscience and Aging at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) seeks candidates for a collaborative and rigorous group of three postdoctoral fellows to unravel codes of neural resilience against diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other dementias – using synergistic molecular, genomic, epidemiologic, and bioinformatic approaches.
The Bioinformatics fellow will spearhead statistical pipelines of discovery and analyses for data derived from CRISPR genomic modulation, RNA sequencing, behavior modeling, and human epidemiology. The fellow will develop novel statistical methodology with protected time.
The Neurogenetics and Molecular Neuroscience fellows will spearhead discoveries of mechanisms underlying neural resilience to disease at the cellular, synaptic, network, and cognitive levels combining transgenic mouse models and induced IPS cells with molecular and “omic” approaches. Dedicated, enthusiastic, and tenacious teamwork required.
Experience preferred. Salary and selection process is highly competitive.
